So, gather up the supplies, rally up the kids, and let’s get our creative juices flowing. It’s time to make this 4th of July an unforgettable one with this delightful craft. Get ready for some serious fun!
This super easy craft comes together quickly using a few simple supplies and the free printable template found at the end of this post. And it looks great all put together!
To get started, you’ll need to gather up a few supplies:
- Template printed on white cardstock
- The free printable template can be found at the end of this post
- Red and blue cardstock
- Glue stick
- Jumbo popsicle stick
- Scissors
By the way, if you need the free printable template and want to make things even easier, I found a great deal on Amazon for high-quality white cardstock. It’s perfect for printing the template and ensuring your popsicle craft looks amazing. Just click here to check it out: White Index Cardstock
After gathering up all of your supplies and printing the template onto white cardstock, carefully cut out both popsicle pieces.
Trace your white template pieces onto a piece of red cardstock and again onto blue cardstock, creating two popsicle pieces in each color. Cut all of them out.
When you’re done, you’ll have two white pieces, two red pieces, and two blue pieces.
Leave one blue piece as it is and fold every other piece in half vertically. Next, take one of the blue popsicle pieces and glue the popsicle stick to the center of it, as shown below.
Take one of the red folded popsicle pieces and glue one side on top of the blue template.
Repeat this step with all of the template popsicles, gluing a red one on next, white, blue, and so on.
Glue the final white template to both the red piece and the bottom blue template. Then set aside and allow your popsicle to dry.
Once dry, your popsicle craft is complete! Use it in pretend play or part of your Independance Day decor! You can even make several of them for a fun 3D style 4th of July banner.

I had no problem with the template....BUT I could not get the instructions to print without losing the left side of the instructions. I would like to take this activity down to the Boys/Girls Club this week.
