Frankenstein Windsock Printable Craft

Who’s ready for another awesome Halloween craft?!  I was looking for a fun activity to do with the kids that would also add to our Halloween decorations.   This Frankenstein Windsock Printable Craft was just the thing!  He’s just the right amount of spooky and cute and the kids had a blast putting these together. 

 

Frankenstein Windsock Printable Craft

 

 

Isn’t he just adorable? We loved him so much that we decided to make a friend for him too!

 

 

As with the majority of our crafts, these are super easy to recreate – especially when using the free printable template found at the end of this post.   To get started, you’ll need to gather up a few basic supplies:

• Cardstock or Construction Paper – we used two versions of green, white, grey, pink, yellow, red, and black, but you can get creative with the colors
• Black Marker
• Scissors
• Glue
• Green Streamers
• Printable template (look for the “click here” button at the end of this post)

Directions:

After downloading the printable template, print it out.  You can use regular printer paper or a light colored cardstock paper.  

 

Trace the template pieces onto your cardstock or construction paper and cut each one out.  You can use the image below as a color guide or use any colors you choose.

 

 

Take one piece of green paper and trim approximately and inch off the top of it.  This will later be used to create the handle of your windsock.

Glue the pieces of Frankenstein’s face onto one sheet of paper, using the photo below as a guide.  Glue his hair along the top. After gluing the teeth in place, you’ll need to trim the extra off the sides and top of the mouth.

 

Glue the second sheet of green paper onto the piece you just glued your face pieces too, as shown above.

 

Loop the paper into a circle and glue into place.  

Glue the 1 inch piece of paper you cut off inside the top of the wind sock to create the handle, as shown below.

 

Glue the streamers on the inside of the wind sock. Use alternating lengths.

 

Use a black marker to add stitches to Frankenstein’s face.

 

And that’s it! Allow for everything to dry and your Frankenstein windsock is ready to be put on display.

 

Please note! Do not use this wind sock where it can get wet!
