We’re adding to our Halloween Line Study series that we started last year with a whole new set of printables. First up is this Grim Reaper Line Study Art Print!
Our Halloween-themed Line Study Art Prints were a big hit last year, and we’ve received several requests for a few additional characters. We love the requests and are happy to help! So if you’ve been looking for a Grim Reaper to add to your Line Study collection, here you go!
Grim Reaper Line Study Art Print
Just as with the other line study projects, you’ll need the free printable template to get you started. You can find it at the end of this post. And while you can print it out on regular printer paper, I recommend using something a little more heavy duty, such as white cardstock. But that’s totally optional, so don’t worry if you don’t have any on hand.
You’ll also want something to draw your lines with. We used a sharpie, but you can also use a black marker, pen, pencil, or whatever you have on hand.
While optional, you may want to grab a piece of colored cardstock to use as a frame for your finished project, a glue stick to attach the frame, and some colored pencils, crayons, or markers to color in your finished line study.
After printing out your free template, begin drawing the lines into each section of your zombie, working on one small section at a time.
While we used straight lines in alternating directions for our final piece, we also played around with different lines, shapes, and textures.
Feel free to get creative with it and just have fun!
Be sure to leave lines out of any of the spaces you want to keep white. I chose to leave lines out of my black spaces as well and simply color them in.
After finishing up your lines, you can choose to stop here and be done or you can add in some color with your crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
If you want, after coloring in your line study, take your scissors and carefully cut off the excess edge of the paper. Then use your glue to attach the line study to the center of your colored cardstock, creating a boarder around your art piece.
And there you have it! Let everything dry and you’re line study piece is complete!
