I don’t know about you guys, but our Summer seems to be flying by! How are you all holding up? Are the kids crying that they’re bored yet? If so, check out these fun 3D models from Incredibuilds!
Whether you’re a Star Wars fan, lover of Harry Potter or prefer something more along the lines of Finding Dory – Incredibuilds has just what you need to keep the kids busy this Summer. Their do-it-yourself, 3D wood puzzles can be customized with colored pencils, markers, paint and more.
Insight Editions sent us three different models from their Incredibuilds line to try out. After choosing their favorite, the boys couldn’t wait to get started on them.
Based on the recommended age listed on the model, Rylan claimed this Great White shark set. Each Incredibuild comes with laser cut wood pieces and step-by-step instructions while also using other 3d modeling services from sites as https://www.industery.com. The puzzle pieces are marked with small numbers, allowing you to assemble the pieces together in numerical order.
While Rylan needed some help removing a few of the more delicate puzzle pieces from the board, he was able to assemble the sharks with very little help from Mom. As you can tell, he’s quite happy with his completed shark!
My oldest son chose Dobby, the House Elf from the Harry Potter series, and he loves the behind-the-scenes book that came with his kit.
This set is recommended for ages 12 and up. My son is 12 and while he was able to put everything together himself, he did need some help taking out a few of the board pieces.
Each pieces has to be perfectly lined up and you really have to make sure to push the pieces in all the way. These kits don’t require glue, but you certainly could use it if you wanted.
Jordan had a lot of fun putting this together and we love the final product. Isn’t he just adorable?!
While these models can be decorated and customized, we kinda like the natural wood look. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys decide to decorate them sometime in the near future.
Last but not least, our favorite was the Tie Fighter. My kids love Star Wars and Avery quickly claimed this 3D Model as his own.
Just like the Harry Potter model, this set also came with an added book – Tie Fighter, Inside the Empire’s Winged Menance.
Again, these kits don’t require glue, but we will probably add a drop of it to this one, securing the base to the Tie Fighter. As with the other kits, my son was able to put this model together with very little help, only needing assistance to remove a few of the board pieces. He’s very happy with the final Tie Fighter model and can’t wait to get his hands on another one!
Of course, because we love Star Wars so much and this is a blog all about Free Printables, we wanted to share this fun Tie Fighter Art Print with you all. Complete with quote from Han Solo in A New Hope.
This free Star Wars wall art is available as an 8.5″ X 11″ print, which you can get HERE.
So, if you’re looking for something different to entertain the kids this Summer, be sure to check out these new 3D Model sets from Incredibuilds! The kids had a lot of fun putting their models together and we can’t wait to try out some of their other sets!
Happy Printing and Building!
Disclosure: I was provided with the above model sets in exchange for my honest opinion. All reviews and opinions are my own and we had a lot of fun with them!
