My kids and I have come to love everything we get our hands on from Insight Editions and their Kung Fu Panda: The Scroll of the Masters is no exception! We love Po and the rest of the Kung Fu characters so I was excited to get ahold of this activity book, but I am blown away by just how awesome it is!
As you open the front cover of this explore and create activity book, you’ll find a pocket holding 11 punch-out characters to create and play with. From there, Po explains that the evil General Kai escaped from the Spirit Realm, attacked the palace and destroyed thousands of years worth of kung fu scrolls. The reader is then sent on a mission to help recreate and record those lost lessons in this brand new scroll book, all with the help of Po and his friends.
Not only is this book hilarious and highly entertaining (both for the kids and myself!), each turn of the page takes you on a new adventure. Find your way through Monkey’s Mazes, learn how to fold an origami panda with Viper, create a peacock fan with Lord Shen or even Tai Lung’s Finger trap. Discover how to find your inner peace with Master Shifu or take a lesson on storytelling from Mei Mei.
While my son was fascinated with every page in this book, he is really excited to try out the recipes for Watermelon Wontons and Panda Noodles with Spicy Peanut Sauce. See, this book really does have everything!
