I saved my favorite character from this Christmas craft series for last. So finally, our 10th and final project is this adorable Nutcracker Christmas Accordion Craft! He’s got more pieces than the other characters, but he’s definitely worth it. And the printable template makes this an easy craft!
Nutcracker Christmas Accordion Craft
To recreate this Nutcracker craft, grab the printable template at the end of this post and the following supplies:
Cardstock or Construction Paper
Use the instructions listed at the top of every page to print out your template. Then carefully cut out all of your pieces.
After cutting out your pieces, begin assembling your nutcracker. Start with the hat, gluing on the feather, button and trim. Then glue the hat to the head piece. Finish off the head by gluing on the mouth, beard, and mustache. Set that aside to dry.
Next, you’ll want to work on the body. Glue the vertical trim piece in place and top with the longer, horizontal belt piece. Glue the yellow belt buckle to the center of the belt and finish it off with the small black belt section.
After you’re done with that, add in the buttons and the collar before gluing the head section on the top. Finally, flue the shoulder sections to the back, as well as the nutcrackers hair, as shown below.
Allow everything to dry and then grab your marker and crayon to give him a face.
All that’s left to finish your nutcracker is the arms and legs. For those you’ll need four 2 inch wide strips of paper. Fold them back and forth, creating an accordion fold.
After folding all four strips, glue your legs and arms in place.
When that’s done, your nutcracker (and this Christmas accordion craft series is complete)! Hang him up to display as part of your Christmas decor.
