Snowman Accordion Character Printable Free Craft

Snowmen are often associated with the winter season, and the month of January is often a time when there is snow on the ground in many places around the world. Snowmen can be an important part of winter celebrations and traditions, such as building snowmen with family and friends, or as a symbol of the winter season.  So of course, January is the perfect time to create this snowman character, whether you’re wishing for snow or trying to find a fun indoor activity to do inside while staying warm.

To recreate this snowman, gather up a few supplies:

Cardstock or Construction Paper (we used white, green, black, red, and orange)
Scissors
Glue
Pink Crayon
Black Marker
Printable Template (found at the end of this post)

GET STARTED ON YOUR SNOWMAN CRAFT

After everything is printed, begin to carefully cut out each piece.

After everything has been cut out, grab your glue and begin to assemble your snowman.  Attach the head to the body and add his scarf.  Assemble the hat and add the holly pieces to it. Then glue the hat to the top of the snowman’s head. Finally, glue on his nose and buttons as shown.

Using your black marker and pink crayon, add a face to your snowman.

Next, you’ll cut four, 2 inch wide strips of paper. Folding each one back and forth, create an accordion fold.

After all four strips have been folded, glue each one to the back of your character, creating two two arms and two legs.

Allow your snowman to dry and he’s ready to be displayed!
