Witches Dungeon Treasure Hunt Game

Last year, we shared a delightful Hide the Acorn Game printable for the fall season, which drew inspiration from the classic game Battleship. Many of you enjoyed it immensely! This year, we’re back with two Halloween-themed versions of this beloved game. The first one is the Witches Dungeon Treasure Hunt Game, designed to infuse some spooky fun into your Halloween celebrations. This activity is perfect for keeping the kids entertained while they eagerly await the arrival of Trick-or-Treat time, as a great addition to family game night, or even as a treat for classmates and Trick-or-Treaters!

 

Witches Dungeon Treasure Hunt Game

 

This treasure hunt game immerses you in the eerie ambiance of a witch’s dungeon, complete with a bubbling cauldron, swarms of bats, creepy crawlies, and enchanting potions scattered throughout the scene.

 

 

If you’re new to Battleship, don’t worry! It’s a relatively easy game to pick up. Essentially, it’s a glorified version of hide and seek, with players concealing their ships and attempting to locate their opponent’s ships before they find theirs.

This is a two-player game, and to get started, each player will need a writing utensil and their own copy of the printable game piece, which you can find at the end of this post.

 

After printing out two copies of the game board, each player’s mission is to secretly draw an eyeball somewhere in the lower grid of the page. The eyeball doesn’t have to be a masterpiece; a simple circle or any other doodle will suffice, depending on your artistic skills.

 

 

Once you’ve drawn your eyeball and ensured that your opponent doesn’t catch a glimpse of its location, fold the bottom of the page under at the dotted line to conceal your eyeball placement.

 

 

Now, the real fun begins. Players take turns trying to pinpoint the location of their opponent’s hidden eyeball by asking questions like, “Is your eyeball in a square with a spider?” or “Is your eyeball in square C6?”

Use the top section of the paper to keep a record of your opponent’s answers. For instance, if they inform you that the eyeball isn’t in a square with a spider, cross off all the squares containing spiders. This process will progressively narrow down the possible locations of the hidden eyeball.

 

The first player to successfully uncover their opponent’s eyeball emerges as the victor!
